Dublin Demonstration for Palestine – Saturday 5th October
On Saturday 5th October there will be a national demonstration in Dublin starting from the Garden of Remembrance at 1pm. This will mark one year of the genocidal ‘Swords of Iron’ campaign by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people of Gaza during which more than 40,000 people have been killed, including 16,000 children. The demonstration is organised by the Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and is endorsed by a wide range of justice and human rights organisations, including Kairos Ireland. This demonstration is a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, speaking out against Israeli war crimes and encouraging the Irish government to take concrete steps, such as enacting the Occupied Territories Bill.

Address by Munther Isaac in the Riverside Church, New York
On the 14th August of this year the pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Christmas Church delivered a powerful address in New York. He emphasizes that the current genocidal assault on Gaza did not begin with the events of the 7th October 2023 but with the Christian Zionist statement of ‘A land without a people for a people without a land’ that preceded the establishment of Jewish Zionism. Isaac condemns the weak response of Western Churches to the current crisis saying that, ‘Silence is Complicity.’ The assault on Gaza would not be possible without the military, financial and political support of the USA and other western governments. I commend Munther’s address to you.
